Good jobs. Clean Air. Community Power.
The WWRC engages with community across San Bernardino and Riverside counties to realize a better, more livable region.
Our work actively addresses the conditions that have led to San Bernardino’s consistently high poverty rates, unemployment, underemployment, low wages, eviction, and other key indicators of economic health through a grassroots lens.
Through Just SB, we launched the People’s Plan for Economic Inclusion to uplift the conditions, values, vision, and priorities needed to model a human-centered economy. This plan and the strategies used to develop address the lack of economic mobility of low-income communities through the lens of labor, housing, education, environmental justice, economic development, arts/culture, and healthcare.
We are also working to reimagine the Carousel Mall in San Bernardino and to give voice to the airport communities whose neighborhoods have been negatively impacted by the growing Amazon facility at the San Bernardino International Airport (SBD). Together, we organize for Community Benefits Agreements that guarantee affordable housing, clean infrastructure, better-paying jobs and community input for developments in our city.
